747-400 FFS
The 747-400 Flight Simulator was originally built by CAE for All Nippon Airways with GE CF6-80C2-B1F engines. After it was acquired by Kalitta Air, the simulator underwent several crucial upgrades improving both functionality and reliability including a modernized Host Computer and Instructor Station. Avionics upgrades include GPS, TAWS/EGPWS, WX-Radar, Honeywell 747-8 NGFMS (optional), and iPad based Class 2 EFB.
The Visual System has been upgraded with a state of the art RSI Raster XT Image Generator and LED DLP projector technology. The Image Generator uses World-Wide Geo-Specific Terrain and Imagery, special weather and lighting effects, and winter scenes to create a highly realistic environment in Dusk, Day, or Night. Available Class I Airports are KJFK, KLAX, KSFO, EHAM, EDYY, and VHHH. Unlimited generic airports are also available.
FAA approved for CAT III, Circling Approach, Windshear, CPDLC, ACARS, TCAS, SMGCS, and all aspects of normal and non-normal operations training. An extensive malfunction database is available.
The 747-400 Flight Simulator is available for lease by air carrier training departments.

747-200 and 747-400 UPPER DECK DOOR TRAINERs
Kalitta Air 747-200 and 747-400 Upper Deck Door Trainers provide realistic EVAC training. Both were constructed in-house by Kalitta Air Aircraft Maintenance in Oscoda Michigan. They began by removing the door and surrounding structure from retired aircraft. The removed sections were then mounted to custom made support structures. Kalitta Air door trainers meet all regulatory requirements and provide a real, practical EVAC training experience.
